SOS Note

I received another SOS note from someone going through the continued anguish of a long and trying time. I know that season. It feels like it will never end. David lamented heavily in Psalms 6:2-3 "Have mercy on me, Lord, for I am faint; heal me, Lord, for my bones are in agony. My soul is in deep anguish. How long, Lord, how long?" I know this to be true.... At the end of a very difficult journey, is a very beautiful victory. You must stand firm. There is no shortcut. During the storm, we must declare out loud that God is more powerful than this circumstance. We must decide in the core of our being that we trust Him. We must put our hope in the power of Jesus and choose with great intention to focus every breath, every movement, every word, every thought to that end. The truth is ~ God is bigger than what we are going through. He is at work and we do not want this to be over until He says it is time. We must not circumvent His precision manifestation of glory until every last bit of gold has been purified in this fire. What we are going through is temporary; it will end. What we are gaining in this fight is eternal. Do not choose to lack the valour and courage it takes to press on in the face of great pain and disillusionment. In 2 Chronicles 15 there was massive trouble for the children of Israel and God said to a man named Asa, "The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you." In verse 4 it says, "But in their distress they turned to the Lord, the God of Israel, and sought him, and he was found by them... But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” The work God is doing in our lives is for our good and for our promotion. We cannot gain the ranks of great men and women of God if we do not endure with brave resolution the tempest that rises against us. The reward will be as seen in its time. God has equipped you to endure. Having done all stand. The end of the matter will surpass all you could imagine or think. Faith pleases God.
