This morning I was reading the Word searching for His voice. It's been an interesting few weeks and I wanted to hear from God. This writing came up as a memory from one year ago today...I thought it prophetic and ironic to have showed up at this time. This is what I wrote one year ago today...

Do you know any scorpions in your life? Would God find us fearful of those who attack us, or slumped in complacency, depressed by self-pity, broken by a lack of faith for that which seems overwhelming today, but will surely be healed tomorrow?

In Ezekiel 2 the prophet received his calling, "'Son of man, stand up on your feet and I will speak to you.' As he spoke, the Spirit came into me and raised me to my feet, and I heard him speaking to me," Ezekiel declared.

There are moments when you cannot sit down when God speaks. There is no room for cowardice. You will be required to stand up. Every situation He has meticulously allowed in your life is for your ultimate good and your assignment is to be courageous with every person, enemy or friend who is entangled with you. God does not always send us to those who want to hear us. God spoke magnificent words and counsel that we should all heed for our own journey. It takes courage.

Ezekiel 2 continues, "The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’ And whether they listen or fail to listen—for they are a rebellious people... do not be afraid of them or their words. Do not be afraid, though briers and thorns are all around you and you live among scorpions. You must speak my words to them, whether they listen or fail to listen... open your mouth and eat what I give you.”

So be it! If that is your call today...stand up!

My Interview with Bishop TD Jakes

Bishop Jakes... "Your misery will lead to your ministry."

Truly profound and impacting words from a man who maintains such humility amidst a calling that is world changing. He never felt he deserved to have the ministry God has given him. Speaking of the call on your life, Bishop Jakes says, "God designs our drive according to our destiny. God does not put an 8-cylinder destiny into a 4-cylinder person." This interview has a depth of honesty and authenticity rarely captured from one so successful in the pulpit. Hear his personal thoughts on fear, humility, misery, conflict and your critics.  I pray this interview deeply impacts the call of God on your life!

Meeting Bishop T.D. Jakes for the first time

Unfortunately, I was late for my interview with Bishop TD Jakes and this is what happened...

Don't Give Up

God got you through the last storm. He did not leave you stranded. You were not abandoned. He showed up as He promised and victory was yours. From season to season, His voice resonates with power and His hand is never diminished. He is Alpha and Omega, the final exclamation point to the trial; the seal of victory on your document of hope.
God is not late and He is not unmindful of your needs. He knows the exact strategy; He is not unaware of the pitfalls. He sees the assault and assignment against you and has already mapped out the demise of the enemy’s schemes. You will not be undone by this, but rather once again, live to see the redemption of your God. Stand firm then.
There is nothing that will harm you; no lasting pain that will take your joy. He is unmatchable in His power, undisputed in His wins, unconquerable in His tactics of opposition. You can safely trust the course His heart has determined for you. According to your faith and coinciding with the agreement and surrender of your heart, may it be to you exactly as He has planned it.

Isaiah 43:10-12
“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord,
“and my servant whom I have chosen,
so that you may know and believe me
and understand that I am he.
Before me no god was formed,
nor will there be one after me.
I, even I, am the Lord,
and apart from me there is no saviour.
I have revealed and saved and proclaimed—
