Despite presenting themselves as Christian and morally upright, Daystar are built on a foundation of scandal, hypocrisy, and alleged abuse rather than integrity. Moral failures and serious accusations were ignored or covered up rather than dealt with transparently. Nothing shows this more than the Marriage between Joni and Doug, who started dating very quickly after Joni’s late husband Marcus passed away.

Of course Joni Lamb’s son Jonathan would speak out against the marriage to Doug Weiss. It isn’t right to be the face of ministry to millions of people, and be marrying a recently divorced man, after your husband had recently passed away. Because of this he was outcasted from Daystar, and Joni’s new favorite became Joshua Brown, an alleged predator who has been caught multiple times doing not so Christians acts..
